A Night At The Pops Recap

The musical event of the year for the Valley of Boston was a sold-out Dinner and Night at the Boston Pops. Organized by the Scottish Rite Family Life committee, 282 members and guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner catered by The Family Crest at Grand Lodge followed by the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall.

Members and guests were whisked to and from Symphony Hall by deluxe motor coaches.

A 15-Star Flag

July is the month when we celebrate the day of our nation's founding, a month filled with patriotism from start to finish. The Scottish Rite Museum has plenty of patriotic entries, the highlight has to be the 15-star flag in our collection. The same style of flag that Francis Scott Key saw when he wrote our National Anthem.

The Museum flag came from John E. Carver in 1995. The flag had been passed down his family line for generations, and was stitched somewhere between 1794 and 1818.
